We recommend that you use a special installation tool. If you need to twist the PTFE ring during installation, please use the following steps to install it. However, since the twisting will affect the sealing performance, please control it within a controllable range.

1: Please insert the Glyd ring back ring into the groove

2: Use your fingers or the sealing ring installation tool to make the slip ring into a heart shape. Please be careful at this time and do not move too violently.

3: After the Glyd ring slip ring is installed in the groove. Push it out along the inner side of the slip ring to the outer circumference to restore it.

4: Insert the push rod (or piston rod) multiple times. Correct the deformation of the inner circumference of the slip ring.

Note: It is recommended to use two piston guide rings for long cylinders and one guide ring for short strokes under low radial loads. For special applications that require high temperatures or resistance to chemicals, the piston seal is made of PTFE additives and fluororubber sealing ring materials.

Tip: When the outer diameter is less than 40mm, we recommend that you use an open groove. It is very important that the installation tool is made of soft material and has no sharp corners, so as not to damage the Glyder ring. Before installation, the Glyder ring needs to be coated with system pressure oil.
